2025 recap

The 2025 Trans Am A-Rama took place in and around Gallatin TN the last weekend of July.  We had over 80 cars come into town to enjoy Middle Tennessee and all it has to offer.

Thursday

On Thursday we kicked off the event with a Scavenger Hunt.  Participants were given a list with close to 100 locations scattered across all of Tennessee.  Each location had a different point value.  The farther away the location, or more difficult to find, had the highest point values.  Participants scored the points by visiting the location and documenting their visit with a photo of themselves or their car and submitting the photo via our online app.

Thursday night we held our “Kick-Off” dinner at  Second Gen Graveyard.  All of our participants gathered to share their stories of the Scavenger Hunt, catch up with old and new friends, and share the love of these great cars.  We had the Sumner County Mayor, Gallatin Chief of Police, and Sumner County Sheriff join us for dinner.  Media personality Stacey David also came to the dinner.  We gave away raffle prizes, ate great food catered by Whitts BBQ, and announced the Scavenger Hunt winners who took home some great prizes donated by our sponsors.

Friday

On Friday we started our day at the Loveless Café where everyone gathered for a great breakfast.  We left the café with the assistance of Nashville Metro police officers blocking traffic so we could all get out of the parking lot and onto the Natchez Trace Parkway.  We enjoyed driving the beautiful Natchez Trace for 75 miles taking in the scenery and the awesome sight of 80 plus classic cars rolling along as a group.

We made our way to College Street Classics in Fayetteville where we were hosted to a great lunch of smashburgers and sides.  The folks at College Street Classics treated us well and had a lot of cars on display.

Everyone then made their way back to Gallatin for the Downtown Takeover.  Gallatin closed several roadways downtown for us for the evening and we were able to park all the cars on the roadways.  The local Boy Scouts troop staffed the road closures and helped everyone get parked.  Our participants were able to shop at the various stores and boutiques downtown and get a great meal at the local restaurants.  We had lots of community members bring out their classic cars to join us and make it a great car show in the downtown.

Saturday

On Saturday morning we started our day in downtown Gallatin.  The local first responders; Police Department, Sheriff’s Department, and Fire Department, all worked together to host a community breakfast in partnership with Martin’s Chicken and Waffles.  We enjoyed a fun breakfast with the Chamber of Commerce staff and community members.

We left the downtown area and headed to the Clarksville Drag Strip taking a scenic backroads route to get there.  At the Drag Strip we had three hours of open track time and we had a blast going down the track.  Friends raced friends, husbands raced wives and moms raced daughters.  The smiles on everyone’s faces gave some insight into how much fun everyone had.

We made our way back to Gallatin and joined the Antique and Classic Cars of Gallatin monthly Cruise-In held at the Gallatin Civic Center.  With our participants swelling the attendance there were almost 200 cars at the Cruise-In.

Just before 7pm the Sumner County Sheriff’s Department arrived and took us for an escorted Tour of Sumner County which was a 50 mile loop through surrounding cities.  There were lots of community members waiting on the sides of the road to cheer us on and honk and wave as we passed by.  We even saw a couple “Go Bandit” banners being held out.

Sunday

On Sunday morning everyone gathered at Second Gen Graveyard for a little shopping and camaraderie.  Some participants left the shop and headed for home.  A small group of cars made a back roads drive to Buc-Ees in Kentucky to enjoy a brisket sandwich for lunch.

We had a great time sharing time with friends.  We raised $12,080 for the Shop With A Cop program and we made some amazing memories.  We cant wait for Trans Am A-Rama 2026, and hope you can join us.

a Great Cause

The Tennessee Trans Am A-Rama is a fundraiser for the Gallatin Police Department's “Shop With A Cop” program, which supports deserving children and families in Sumner County.

Each year, generous participants and supporters make a meaningful impact. In 2024, the event raised $8,849, followed by $12,089 in 2025. For 2026, our goal is to reach $15,000 in donations to continue supporting the Gallatin Police Department’s Shop With A Cop program and the families it serves.

Donations go directly to the Gallatin Police Department’s Shop With A Cop program. Donations are not required to register but are greatly appreciated. Participants may contribute any amount they choose.
